Do I need a Merchant Account to use Shopping Cart Direct? How do I set up my Merchant Account in my store?
  You are not required to have a merchant account to use Shopping Cart Direct. You can use the Shopping Cart Direct system to process orders, and authorize/charge a customer's credit card yourself, manually if you already have the necessary requirements to do so. If you wish to have an online authorization/charge to the customer's credit card, then you will need a merchant account.

Where is my store hosted? Can I keep my current hosting provider and still have a shopping cart with SCD?
  Your store is hosted on Shopping Cart Direct servers.
Is the shopping cart secure?
  Yes. There is a secure check-out process that can be activated from the admin.
The certificate is issued to shoppingcartdirect.com. If you wish to have a certificate issued specifically for your domain, you will need to purchase one. You may contact us for more help on this issue.
I have decided to purchase a store. How long will it take?
  You can start working on your store immediately. You will receive a temporary store address and admin address with user name and password.
What if I want to make changes in the store?
  In the store's admin you have full control regarding the site colors, pages names, images, company information, and more.

How can I help potential customers find my store online? What kind of marketing does Shopping Cart Direct help me with?
  The Shopping Cart Direct admin allows you to utilize the meta tags of your store. Every item page will display the item name in the page title. We can also provide intense targeted marketing programs. Please contact us for details.
Is there a set-up fee and/or a fixed term contract?
  There is no set-up fee. There is no fixed term contract.
How will I design my store?
  You have full control from your admin regarding several design elements, such as site colors, images, display options, and more. If you decide to use our services, then we make the first design for free, and will help you in any design issue you have.
Do I need to have any previous knowledge to work with the store's admin?
  No. The admin is user friendly, and no previous knowledge is required to manage the store.
I already have a web site. Can I still get a shopping cart through Shopping Cart Direct?
  If you already have a site, there are 2 ways you could work with Shopping Cart Direct:
1. You can keep your site as it is, and add a button to the store, and build the store as an independent site.
2. You can implement the design of your site to the Shopping Cart Direct store, and build the site using the admin.
What does the store include?
  The store includes: a store site, admin tool, free design, unlimited customer service, help manual, bulk upload and download tool, e-mail accounts for your own domain. The admin itself includes many tools for promotions, marketing, orders management, discounts, and more.
I have thousands of products. How can I upload them to my store?
  Shopping Cart Direct has a bulk upload tool. Using our database sheet, you can upload new database or update current database in your store. The database sheet is a Microsoft Access file.
How will I know when someone bought an item in my store?
  You have a section in the admin called "Order Center", and all orders will be displayed in that section with all their information. You can also receive a confirmation e-mail for any purchase to your own e-mail account.
Is there a search option in the store?
  There is a search field in the store. You may search by brand, category, item name, SKU, or description. There is also an Advanced Search option to search by attributes.
I will also need some information pages, such as 'About us', and 'contact'.
  Shopping Cart Direct provides 4 dynamic pages. You can change their names, enable or disable them, and put text or HTML code.
Which programming language does Shopping Cart Direct work with?
  Shopping Cart Direct is built on ASP code.
Will my store help me track and control my inventory? How?
  Shopping Cart Direct admin has inventory management. You may enable / disable it as you like. When enabled, any item that is purchased, will be decreased in the inventory by the quantity purchased. When an item gets to '0' in the inventory, it will automatically becomes 'Unavailable'.
Am I able to sell downloadable products?
  A downloadable products store is currently under development.
